Amex Platinum Uber One Credit: How It Works in 2026
The Uber One credit reimburses eligible membership charges. It is separate from Platinum's monthly Uber Cash and does not turn the membership's advertised savings into guaranteed value.

Quick facts
- Allowance
- Up to $120 per calendar year
- Reset schedule
- January 1; reimbursement follows eligible membership charges
- Enrollment / payment
- Pay for an auto-renewing Uber One membership with Platinum
How to use the benefit
- Check your current Uber One plan and renewal price.
- Make the eligible Platinum the membership payment card.
- Confirm the membership is auto-renewing and review the benefit terms.
- Check the statement after membership charges, and reassess the subscription before renewal.
Restrictions and mistakes to avoid
- This reimburses membership charges, not ordinary Uber rides or food orders.
- A free trial creates no paid membership charge to reimburse.
- Do not count both the reimbursed fee and the same fee as extra savings elsewhere in your budget.
What is it actually worth?
If an eligible membership costs $96 for the year, reimbursement can offset that $96; the unused part of the $120 ceiling is not another $24 of income. The membership's useful value then depends on the trips or orders you already make and the actual charges it reduces.
These examples are hypothetical. Use the purchases you would have made anyway, include remaining charges, and avoid counting the same saving twice.
Common questions
Is this the same as Uber Cash?
No. Track membership reimbursement separately from ride/order wallet cash.
Should I join just to use the credit?
Only if the membership improves purchases you already intend to make. A reimbursed subscription does not make every order a good deal.
