How to use the benefit

- Find an eligible restaurant on Resy or Tock and check its current eligibility.
- Pay an eligible purchase using the enrolled card account.
- Keep the receipt and check for the statement credit; Amex allows up to eight weeks.
Restrictions and mistakes to avoid
- Gift cards, delivery, catering and third-party processing may not qualify.
- A booking alone is not a qualifying paid purchase.
- Additional cards share the account's quarterly ceiling.
What is it actually worth?
For a planned $140 meal and a fresh $100 allowance, the maximum reimbursement is $100, leaving $40 before any charges that do not qualify. Two $70 eligible meals in the same quarter still cannot generate $140 in credits. Choose the restaurant for the meal you want, then use the benefit.
These examples are hypothetical. Use the purchases you would have made anyway, include remaining charges, and avoid counting the same saving twice.
Common questions
Do I need a Resy reservation?
Eligibility depends on the establishment and qualifying purchase. A reservation by itself does not create the credit.
Can I save unused credit for the next quarter?
No. Plan around each calendar quarter rather than a $400 spending bucket.
