Amex Platinum Digital Entertainment Credit: How It Works in 2026
This credit offsets qualifying charges from participating entertainment providers. The reimbursement follows monthly billing, so the annual maximum is not available as a lump sum.

Quick facts
- Allowance
- Up to $25 monthly; $300 per year
- Reset schedule
- Each calendar month
- Enrollment / payment
- Enroll through Amex; pay eligible providers directly
How to use the benefit
- Enroll before moving a subscription to Platinum.
- Check the current eligible provider and plan list.
- Change billing directly with the qualifying provider rather than assuming app-store billing qualifies.
- Check the charge and reimbursement each month, especially after changing a bundle or plan.
Restrictions and mistakes to avoid
- Current providers include Disney+, eligible Disney bundles, ESPN, Hulu, NYT, Paramount+, Peacock, WSJ, YouTube Premium and YouTube TV.
- Third-party billing can be excluded.
- Unused monthly allowance does not roll over; an annual bill does not unlock twelve monthly limits at once.
What is it actually worth?
A qualifying $15 monthly subscription supplies $180 of useful annual value, not $300. Adding another $10 subscription purely to hit the cap does not make the card cheaper unless you wanted that subscription already. Start by replacing an existing bill.
These examples are hypothetical. Use the purchases you would have made anyway, include remaining charges, and avoid counting the same saving twice.
Common questions
Can I reimburse a $300 annual subscription at once?
The monthly ceiling still applies. Check a plan's billing schedule before switching.
What should I check when a credit is missing?
Enrollment, the provider and plan, direct billing, transaction date, and how much of that month's allowance was already used.
