Why I Built PointsOS
I watched a friend cash out 60,000 Amex points for $600 in statement credits. That same week, I booked a client JAL Business Class to Tokyo. The ticket was worth $8,800. The cost? 60,000 points and $5.60 in taxes.
The thing is, most people I talk to know their points are worth more. They just can't figure out the system. Where to search. Which airline to transfer to. Whether the deal is actually good. It's confusing, it's time-consuming, and most people give up.
