Chase Sapphire Reserve Dining Credit: How It Works in 2026
Reserve's dining reimbursement is limited to select Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants. It is not a credit for every OpenTable restaurant.

Quick facts
- Allowance
- Up to $150 per half-year; $300 per year
- Reset schedule
- January–June and July–December
- Enrollment / payment
- Automatic on qualifying direct restaurant charges; check Exclusive Tables eligibility
How to use the benefit
- Find a currently eligible Exclusive Tables establishment.
- Check booking access through OpenTable and the restaurant's eligibility.
- Pay the qualifying restaurant directly with Reserve.
- Check the statement and remaining half-year allowance.
Restrictions and mistakes to avoid
- Gift cards, merchandise and third-party payment or delivery services may not qualify.
- Processing delays near June 30 or December 31 may change the allowance used.
- An OpenTable reservation by itself does not create a statement credit.
What is it actually worth?
For a planned $180 dinner with $150 remaining, the maximum reimbursement leaves $30 before nonqualifying charges. If you would otherwise have spent $80 on dinner, the useful saving in your budget is not automatically the full $150. Set a meal budget first.
These examples are hypothetical. Use the purchases you would have made anyway, include remaining charges, and avoid counting the same saving twice.
Common questions
Does any OpenTable booking qualify?
No. Verify the select Exclusive Tables restaurant list and direct payment requirements.
Can I use $300 for one dinner?
